Delta 6 THC Learning Center

Delta-6-tetrahydrocannabinol (Delta 6 THC or Δ6 THC) is a type of THC, which is a chemical found in hemp. It's similar to the more well-known Delta-9 THC, which is the main thing that creates a head change. These two THC types are almost the same at a tiny level, but the Delta-6 THC has a double bond in the 6th carbon as opposed to the 9th.

Even though it might seem like a small change, shifting this double bond can make a big difference in how the THC affects you. For example, with other THC types like Delta 8 THC and Delta-10, changing the Delta-9 THC can make the buzz less intense and more clear-headed. We're not sure yet if Delta-6 THC will have similar effects, though. More research is needed to find out.

Although Delta 6 THC is not often found naturally in hemp, manufactures have discovered a process called synthesis, where they change CBD (another compound found in hemp and cannabis plants) into Delta 6 THC through chemical reactions.

Because of these techniques, Delta 6 THC can be made in larger quantities, making it available for different products. Making it in a controlled environment also allows manufactures to control how pure and strong it is. They use special tools to make sure each batch is the same.

The legal status of Delta 6 THC is currently only available in certain states in the U.S. Although many countries are considering legalization of hemp and THC products it's currently not recommended to fly or travel with any THC products domestically or internationally.
