Why Are There So Many Types of THC?

If you’ve been using THC for a while, you might have noticed that there’s almost every letter in the Alphabet in THC form. There’s a very good reason for that, and we help you understand why there are so many types of THC.

THC Made From Hemp

One thing to understand is that traditionally, THC came from Cannabis and not Hemp. The Hemp plant was used to make fibers, healthy snacks, materials, etc. However, when the Farm Bill of 2018 was introduced, it changed how we looked at Hemp.

The Rise of CBD

The first wave to emerge from the Farm Bill was CBD. Once manufacturers discovered CBD was profitable, a wave of companies cashed in on this new and unique product. Although CBD has always existed in Cannabis and Holistic medicine, it became mainstream.

Once the hyped died down and people were asked to remain indoors because of the Pandemic, the focus was now on THC. Although Marijuana is illegal, the same people responsible for making CBD popular figured out a loophole.

Hemp-derived THC

Manufacturers figured out that if they took the CBD from Hemp and extracted the very little THC it produced, they could make a new type of THC. The result was Delta 8, and because all of the existing laws only targeted Delta 9, a new market emerged.

The catch was that all Hemp-derived products needed to have less than 0.3% of Delta 9 THC to be compliant with the Farm Bill. But, because there were no restrictions on any other type of THC, lesser-known cannabinoids began to emerge.

Lesser Known Cannabinoids

By repeating the process of taking the THC from Hemp and isolating certain compounds, manufacturers started to popularize lesser-known cannabinoids. This included THC-A, THC-P, etc., and what emerged were blends that produced a unique experience.

The Popularity of THC-A

One cannabinoid that’s probably the most popular next to Delta 8 is THC-A. The reason behind this is that in its raw state, the THC is undetectable. It’s not until you light it up or activate the THC that it can produce a head change.

Products like Gold Spectrum Snowballs THCA Flower closely resemble cannabis. However, they have less than 0.3% THC, so they’re hemp-compliant. Anyone who’s used THC-A flower can tell you that the experience is like no other Hemp product.

Unique THC Experience

What the popularization of all these different types of THC created was a unique type of experience. For example, the Losst 6g High Speed Blend features Live Resin, CDT, THC-M, THC-A, THC-V, THC-P, THCjd, THC–B, Delta 8 THC, Delta 10 THC, and Delta 11 THC.

That’s over 10 cannabinoids working together to produce a unique experience. In other words, if you’re not prepared to handle something this wild, you'll be messed up. The blending of different cannabinoids is known as the Entourage Effect, and it all works to help you reach your goal.

Conclusion

The reason why there are so many types of THC is that manufacturers are actively working to create an experience that’s similar to actual cannabis. Although it’s classified as Hemp, each type of THC has its benefits and contributes something to help you reach your goal.
